Everything clients usually want to know before booking a home cleaning in New York City.
01
What is included in standard cleaning?
Standard service covers kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, and entries. That includes dusting reachable surfaces, cleaning sinks, toilets, tubs, mirrors, appliance exteriors, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, and high-touch disinfection. See the full standard cleaning scope.
02
How is deep cleaning different?
Deep cleaning includes standard tasks plus detail work such as baseboards, trim, door frames, tile and grout, radiator covers, vents, window tracks, cabinet fronts, and accessible areas beneath furniture. Read the complete deep cleaning checklist.
03
What is included in move-out cleaning?
Move-out cleaning is designed for an empty apartment or home. It includes detail cleaning plus cabinet, drawer, closet, oven, refrigerator, and dishwasher interiors. Review our NYC move-out checklist
before booking.
04
Do I need to provide supplies?
No. Help Maid brings the cleaning products, cloths, and equipment needed for the appointment. If your home has a surface requiring a specific product, leave it out and add a note while booking. Learn more about professional cleaning supplies.
05
Do I have to be home during the clean?
No. Many NYC clients use doorman handoffs, lockboxes, smart locks, or building access notes. Our team can follow the instructions stored on your booking. See how access works when you are away.
06
Can I customize the list?
Yes. Add priorities such as the oven, refrigerator, cabinets, interior windows, laundry, or a problem room while booking. You can also ask us to skip rooms. Recurring clients can maintain preferences for future visits.
